Lazos with a modern twist

Posted by

I have always thought the hispanic tradition of the Lazo and Arras used during the wedding ceremony to be both moving and inspirational.  It is a wonderful way of showing the unity of the bride and groom as a new couple.  In a Catholic church setting the Lazo is traditionally  very much like a rosary and is usually made of crystal beads on a chain and joined with a crucifix showing the couples faith.

Many couples are choosing to get married out of doors in a variety of settings instead of the traditional church setting.  In a non-traditional setting many couples would still like to have some elements of their traditions and a silken rope joined with a cluster of silken flowers is a great option of a modern twist on the lazo.  Using a variety of items like this a bride and groom can make their wedding a memorable experience and show respect for their cultural heritage.
